Hey y’all and welcome back to the blog! This week I am going to be talking about the resorts and hotels Disney Parks have to offer for when you’re planning your first or next trip to the parks.
The resorts I will be talking about are through the Disney Parks and not other hotel chains like Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn. When you stay at one of the Disney resorts, this is considered staying "on-site" or "on-property." All the locations that have been mentioned have on-site hotels except for Disneyland Tokyo. I would also like to preface that all the information listed below is from each park's official Disney website!
Before we get started on this magical journey, don’t forget to follow the blog’s Instagram and Twitter for more magic!
Convenience
One of the main reasons people decide to stay in Disney Resorts is for the convenience it has when it comes to traveling to the parks. Each resort includes free transportation such as the Skyliner, taxi, bus and/or a limo. With this, you do not have to spend extra money for parking passes ( that adds up to a pretty penny by the end of the trip).
Themed Rooms
Another exciting part about staying in a Disney Resort are the themed rooms. Depending on the resort you stay in, the room themes are different. For example the Port Orleans Riverside Resort, the rooms will feel like you’re traveling down the Bayou with Ray, Tiana, Naveen, and Louis! Not all the resorts have movie themed rooms but tied into the theme of the resort overall.
Experience
It is said to be a completely different type of magical experience. Since there are so many different types of resorts you can stay in, each experience is one of a kind! To keep the magic going outside of the parks, the resorts have some of the characters roaming around the lobbies helping create memories for you and your loved ones.
If hotels are not what you are looking for or you just do not like them, DisneyWorld offer campsite type of lodging.
I wanted to do a little more research for you all about pricing for the resorts. Now this just an overview of the starting prices for the resorts and hotels. Everyone’s trips are different so I just found the starting prices to give you all an idea of how much it may cost to stay!
Our first stop on this list is DisneyWorld. There are many parks in this area. I decided to talk about the section that is the most affordable if you are wanting to stay on site. To look at all the rest of the many options, click here!
In this section there are five hotels that are available. They are Pop Century Resort, All-Star Music Resort, All-Star Movies, All-Star Sports, and Art of Animation. All of these resorts are under $200 a night except for Art of Animation which is under $500.

Disneyland California offers three different themed resorts for your time spent there. They are The Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel. All of these are on site and under between the starting rates of $500 - $800 per night.
Across the pond we have Disneyland Paris. Here, you have six different on-site hotels and resorts to choose from. Each one of these seems like such a fun place to stay in! They have a wild western themed resort called Hotel Cheyenne and one based around Disney Pixar’s Cars. The prices vary from $500 - $2,000 a night.
Last on the list is Hong Kong Disneyland. The places to stay here are the Explorers Lodge, Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, and the Hollywood Hotel. The price for an average night starts at $2,000.
My next trip, we are staying at the All - Star Movie Resort and I am so excited. I have not had the pleasure of staying at a Disney owned resort because my grandparents lived in Florida so we would just be able to drive down to the parks and have a place to stay while visiting!
Come back next week to learn about the traditions and little things that help make these parks more special and magical!
Have a magical Day!
