Where the Love Came From and Where To Go!

For as long as I can remember, Disney has always been a constant in my life. Growing up, that is all I would watch. My Mom always tells me that Peter Pan and The Little Mermaid were all I would want to watch over and over again. I even convinced myself I was a mermaid for the first 5 years of my life.

I was very fortunate as a child because my Oma and Opa ( german for Grandma and Grandpa) lived 30 minutes outside of Orlando, Florida which is where Walt Disney World located. My Oma and Opa were Disney fanatics which is part of the reason we got to go so much because they were annual pass holders. Meaning they could go whenever they wanted. When I was 7 years old, I got to go down to Florida by myself to stay with them and go to the parks. It was one of the best trips I had ever been on because I was with some of my favorite people, spending time at my favorite place in the world. We have we been a numerous trips to Disney since but that one will always have a special place in my heart.

I said I have always loved Disney but I didn't really appreciate it until I was 12. My Opa was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2011. As a kid I really didn't know what this meant but it was something bad. I always had the connection of Disney with him. So when he passed away, Disney made it feel like he is still with me. It was something he and

my Oma introduced me to and gave me a love for. I am forever thankful for the memories we got to make at the most magical place on Earth together.

Now that the sad part is over, let's talk about what this weeks post is about! This week I am going to be talking about all the different countries that the Disney parks are located. I wanted to start off with a simply small post to just set the tone for what is going to be talked about during these blog posts.

There are currently five locations around the world that have parks, Florida, California, Paris, Hong-Kong, and Tokyo. I have only been to the locations in Florida but all the information I am using is coming from the the park sites and the links to those will be available by clicking on the location heading if you are interested in learning more and planning a trip!

I live on the East Coast of the United States so traveling over the other side of the Continent and Atlantic ocean is not something in the vacation budget as of now. It is my goal to visit all of the Disney Parks in every location!

North America

In the heart of Orlando, Florida lives DisneyWorld. DisneyWorld is home to four parks: Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom. These are the parks that I grew up with and I could read the maps for these places like the back of my hand. They each have something different to offer. ( which is something you'll learn in next week's post!)

Anaheim, California is where the infamous Disneyland is. Unlike DisneyWorld where the parks are separate, Disneyland has all of them in the same landscape. Disneyland is made up of Magic Kingdom with Car's Radiator Springs, Hollywood Studios with Avengers Campus, Galaxy's Edge, and California Adventure Park.

Europe

Across the pond ( for me ) in a little spot in France lies Disneyland and Walt Disney Studio parks. The Walt Disney Studio Parks is similar to the Hollywood Studio parks and Disneyland is similar to Magic Kingdom in Orlando Florida.

Asia

I want to start off by saying that the from what I have seen from pictures, Hong Kong Disneyland is beautiful. Disneyland is the only park that they there so they made it look as magical as they could!

Tokyo Disneyland Resort is the one park that looks just like the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida. They also only have the Disneyland park in their location.

I'm sorry that this is not one of the most exciting posts but it was just our starting point for the magic that is to come! Next, I will be breaking down the parks and their attractions! I hope you all enjoyed learning about where my love for Disney came from and what parks are where. See you next week and have a magical day!

What Else to Look Forward To!

After this post are all things Disney park related! I will be talking about food, places to stay, the Disney College Program, Shows, what you should pack, and traditions!!!
